Thayer City Council met last night for their regular monthly meeting. The meeting was short with just a couple of items on the agenda. The Council began by approving the consent agenda. They then voted to pay the bills, then approved April 17th through the 21st as Spring Cleanup week. The City Council then approved the quote for mapping the City’s water and sewer lines, making it easier to pinpoint any problems with the lines. The council then tabled the purchase of a manhole gas tester. Then a local citizen requested the city to move one of two meters on his property. The council agreed to look into it. Then local businessman Bob Crase addressed the council about his property on the west side of business 63 at the north highway 63 intersection. Mr. Crase wanted to know what their plans were to alleviate flooding in the area. The city agreed to contact MODOT, who M.r Crase said had mentioned to him the possibility of a grant or land purchase.

The City Council meets on the second Tuesday of each month at City Hall.
