The West Plains School District is pleased to announce Dr. Joby Steele will return to the district as a West Plains Elementary Assistant Principal for the 2023-2024 school year.
Since 2013, Dr. Steele has served as the Alton High School Principal. Before his position in Alton, he was a West Plains High School Assistant Principal from 2009-2012 and a West Plains Middle School Assistant Principal from 2008-2009.
Dr. Steele holds a Doctorate in Education Administration from Lindenwood University. He also has a Master of Education degree from William Woods University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas State University.
“Dr. Steele is a great educator with years of leadership experience. I am excited to bring back someone with many years of knowledge of the district. Hiring Dr. Steele will provide a smooth transition and stability for our schools,” said Dr. Wesley Davis.
Dr. Steele will begin his new role on July 1st, 2023.
