On Thursday, March 30th, 87-year-old Vance Null of Viola was killed and 64-year-old David Basham and 1-year-old Teresa Brichcek both from Salem, were both injured when Basham crossed the centerline and hit the vehicle that Null was driving and hit another vehicle. The driver of that vehicle was not injured. The accident happened on Highway 62, west of Salem.
