Two Ash Flat residents face charges after allegedly interfering with emergency communications.

The Sharp County Central Dispatch allegedly heard the two communicating of the county’s emergency frequency. The Sheriff’s Office found the location of the Radios and went to a home in Ash Flat and arrested Matthew King and Jason Childs, who admitted to interference. The Sheriff’s Office said that there were two times that dispatch could not communicate with an ambulance because of the interference. Authorities say the prank put lives at risk. Both men were cited.
