42-year-old Elliott Anthony Rivera allegedly hit his girlfriend in the face and strangled her and then threw a concrete planter through the window of her car as she tried to leave. Rivera is charged with first-degree domestic assault and first-degree property damage to a vehicle with intent to steal. Rivera was taken to Shannon County jail and his bond was set at $50,000
