The first round of the NFL Draft was held Thursday in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY—The Carolina Panthers as expected took Alabama QB Bryce Young with the first pick in the Draft. Then Houston took Ohio State QB C.J. Stroud with the second pick. The Texans then traded up with Arizona and also took Will Anderson Jr an Edge from Alabama with the third pick. Indianapolis got a QB, Anthony Richardson from Florida at number 4, then rounding out the top five, Seattle took Illinois Cornerback Devon Witherspoon.

 

The Kansas City Chiefs used the final selection of the first round of the hometown NFL draft to pick a hometown boy, selecting Kansas State pass-rusher Felix Anudike-Uzomah with the 31st overall pick Thursday night.

 

Alabama, Ohio State, and Georgia each had three players chosen in the first round.

Round two continues tonight in Kansas City, Pittsburgh will pick first in the second round, and Kansas City has the last pick in the second round, number 63 overall.
