
A graduate of Riverside High School in Lake City, Arkansas, east of Jonesboro, made his major league debut as the starting pitcher for the Los Angles Dodgers Wednesday night.
Gavin Stone was drafted by the Dodgers in 2020 and recently called up to the Major League club from their AAA affiliate in Oklahoma City. Stone threw four innings, gave up eight hits, struck out one, and allowed two walks and 4 runs. The game ended in a no-decision for stone as the Dodgers won 10-6 over the Philadelphia Phillies due to a walk-off grand-slam.
MLB.com reports that LA Manager Dave Roberts said, “As a manager, you watch how guys react to things out of their control,” Roberts said. “And he handled it like a pro.”
