The Howell County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Monday they attempted to stop a vehicle on Highway 60, but the vehicle failed to stop and continued into Shannon County. The Highway Patrol and Howell County Sheriff’s Office deployed spike strips to try to stop the vehicle but were unsuccessful. The Driver eventually lost control of the vehicle and overturned. The driver Autumn Smith of Ava and a passenger, Jordan Wilds of Eminence were arrested Smith was placed on a 24-Hour Hold Pending Formal Charges for Resisting Arrest and Driving While Revoked. Ms. Smith was also booked on two active arrest warrants out of the Willow Springs Police Department for traffic violations. Wilds was booked on active arrest warrants out of the Summersville Police Department for Failure to Appear and a Missouri Department of Corrections for a Parole Violation. Smith is being held on $25,000.00 bond.
