Around 11:30 a van driven by 47-year-old Michael Wandra of Springfield stopped for an animal in the road and was hit in the rear by a car driven by 65-year-old Randy Harris of Licking. Harris suffered minor injuries and was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital. The accident happened on Highway 63, three miles north of Houston. Then around 3 Friday afternoon, 63-year-old Sandra Deem of Licking, suffered minor injuries when a vehicle driven by 68-year-old Kenneth Deem traveled off the road and hit a metal fence. Sandra Deem was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital. The accident happened on Highway B, one mile west of Raymondville.
