
The second suspect from the manhunt last Wednesday, May 10th, has been taken into custody at a residence in the Clarkridge area. After Sheriff’s Investigators determined the identity of the second suspect, deputies located and arrested 56-year-old CHARLES RICHARD COX of Clarkridge, Arkansas. He was taken to the Baxter County Detention Center this morning and incarcerated on charges of:
Residential Burglary – Felony
Aggravated Assault – Felony
Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons – Felony
Possession of Controlled Substance – Felony
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Felony
Criminal Trespass – Misdemeanor
Theft of Property – Misdemeanor
Violating a No Contact Order – Misdemeanor
Probation Violation – Misdemeanor
Habitual Offender – Penalty Enhancement
CHARLES COX remains incarcerated in lieu of a $100,000 bond on these charges and will appear before the Circuit Court to answer on June 12th.
Last week, 39-year-old Terry Lee Shumate was arrested on similar charges.
