18-year-old Brent Thomasdale Vernon is accused of shooting at his dad who was hiding in some bushes. Authorities say Vernon kicked in the front door and threatened to kill his dad, then went into a bedroom and got a shotgun, he then went outside and behind a neighbor’s house. There he allegedly fired a shot and threatened the neighbor and her children. Vernon’s father was still hiding in the bushes when the police arrived. Vernon is charged with two felony counts of terroristic threatening and one felony count of aggravated assault on a family or household member, two misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, and one misdemeanor count of possession of intoxicating liquor by a minor. His bond is set at $25,000.
