College Baseball scores for Friday 5-19-23

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – No. 12 Vanderbilt (36-17, 18-11 SEC) scored eight in the bottom half of the eighth to overcome a six-run deficit and defeat No. 2 Arkansas (39-14, 20-9 SEC), 10-8, on Friday night at Hawkins Field.

Left-hander Hunter Hollan will get the start on the mound today as Arkansas will once again look to clinch both a series win and their fourth SEC championship in school history.

 

AUBURN, Ala. –Luke Mann   delivered a Missouri record-tying 49th career home run, but No. 19 Auburn handed the Tigers a 7-2 setback that completed a doubleheader sweep and secured a Southeastern Conference series win for AU Friday evening at Plainsman Park.

The Tigers lost the first game 4-0

Mizzou and Auburn conclude their series—and the 2023 regular season—Saturday (May 20) with a 1 p.m. contest.

 

 

JONESBORO, Ark. (5/19/23) – Kody Darey reached base five times with four hits, as the Arkansas State baseball team surged past South Alabama for a series-clinching 13-6 victory Friday at Tomlinson Stadium-Kell Field.

SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State’s Friday baseball game with Indiana State has been postponed due to rain, and the Bears and Sycamores will now close the regular season today with a noon doubleheader at Hammons Field.

Senior Day ceremonies will begin at approximately 11:35 a.m., prior to the first game.
