The Highway Patrol arrested 60-year-old Ralph Smith on charges of felony DWI, felony resisting arrest by fleeing, felony driving while suspended, speeding, careless and imprudent driving resulting in an accident, failure to register a vehicle, no insurance, display8ing the plates of another and no seatbelt. He was taken to the Wright County jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.
