The Highway Patrol reports that 37-year-old Carmel Franco suffered minor injuries when he stopped the semi he was driving on the shoulder of the roadway and was hit by another semi, driven by 66-year-old john barnes of Webb City. Franco was taken to Cox South in Springfield. The accident happened on U.S. 60, one mile west of Macomb.
