The Ozark County Sheriff’s Department reports several arrests

On 05/26/23, Deputy Fountain, Reserve Deputy Fowler, and Lieutenant Rhoades were in the area of V Highway in Caufield. They conducted a traffic stop on a truck in the area and they recognized one of the passengers of the vehicle as Odie Belt. Odie had an active felony warrant for his arrest for vehicle theft out of Howell County. He was arrested and booked into jail.

On 05/20/23, Deputy Fountain and Lieutenant Rhoades conducted a warrant service for Michael Turner at his residence in Gainesville. He was located and arrested on his active felony warrant for a probation violation. He was booked into jail.

On 05/14/23, Deputy Fountain and Lieutenant Rhoades conducted a warrant service in Ocie for Jada Jones for her active felony warrant for Harassment 1st degree out of West Plains. She was located, arrested, and booked into jail.

On 05/25/2023, Sgt. S.A. Miller responded to a report of an intoxicated woman on a bicycle near US Highway 160 and State Highway HH. The individual in question was Autumn Dulaney, who had a close call with traffic.

Upon Sgt. Miller’s arrival, signs of intoxication were evident: profuse sweating, erratic movements, and dilated pupils. Despite repeated warnings, Autumn persisted in riding into the roadway, posing a significant risk to her own safety. To ensure her well-being, Sgt. Miller made the decision to place her under arrest for a safety hold.

During the booking process, a glass smoking device was discovered in Autumn’s pocket, testing positive for methamphetamine.

On 05/20/23, at approximately 0330 hours, dispatch received a 911 report of a male who broke a car window of a victim who he was threatening, cutting his arm on the broken glass and causing significant injuries in the process. Deputies arrived on the scene and located the male. He was detained, first aid was rendered, and an ambulance was called for his injuries. During the incident, it was determined that the male was under the influence of meth and he was in possession of meth paraphernalia and a firearm. He was transported to the hospital where he received medical assistance. He was then arrested and booked into jail for possession of paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a firearm, harassment 1st degree, and vandalism.

Medical note: arms have important blood tunnels in them and broken glass is sharp, the two should never meet unless you are wanting to see what blood looks like on the outside.

n 05/18/23, Sheriff Martin was contacted about a male with an active felony warrant out of Douglas County spotted at a house on Hwy 5 north of Gainesville. Sheriff Degase and Sheriff Martin arrived at the residence and saw the male, Newt Souder, running away from the house through a field. They chased Newt through the field. They caught him and placed him in custody. He was booked into jail for his warrant and resisting arrest.
