A woman was arrested in Fulton County after allegedly trying to steal a patrol vehicle.

According to reports, 34-year-old Destiny Ward was arrested for public intoxication and while officers were waiting on a friend to pick her up, she became mad and started yelling and cursing. While in the patrol car, she slipped out of the handcuffs, slipped through the glass partition, and kicked the deputy’s rifle from its mount setting off the vehicle’s siren. She then attempted to steal the vehicle and flee. She was removed from the vehicle and began physically resisting the deputy. Ward is charged with felony third-degree escape from custody and misdemeanor public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. Her bond was set at $20,000.
