
The Izard County School District has received a grant from the Arkansas Department of Education to support community learning centers. The three-year grant for $420,000 is designed to support community learning centers providing enrichment during non-school hours in the areas of reading, literacy, math, and science. It will reportedly help supplement the summer and after-school programs the district currently has in place for kindergarten through eighth grades and allow the district to provide a Before School Program.
