The Highway Patrol reports that 80-year-old Larry Morris suffered serious injuries when he attempted to overtake a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Brendan Hawkins of Homer Georgia and hit the vehicle. Morris was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The accident happened on U.S. 160, eight miles west of West Plains.
