
New Zealands Shane van Gisbergen did something that hasn’t been done in NASCAR in over 60 years yesterday. He won his first ever Nascar Cup Series race. van Gisbergen took the checkered flag in a wild day of racing on the wet streets of Chicago. The race featured a wet track, from rains earlier in the day, multiple crashes, and ended 25 laps early due to darkness.
