Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative (HOEC) has received reports of pole inspectors who are entering the property without respect. The description is of a white van. Please be advised, this is NOT HOEC. HOEC’s pole inspectors travel in red trucks and their contractors are generally in white trucks, not vans. HOEC employees should always have a badge/nametag they can show you and/or you can call the cooperative office to verify they are who they say they are. Contractors will have paperwork they can show you that verifies they are working with HOEC and sometimes they will have decals on their vehicles (if not adorned with their own company decals already).
During this time of year, they are out along with contractors, clearing rights-of-way and sometimes working on building new lines. Pole inspectors work year-round and are trained on entering the property. As members and landowners, please be safe and aware of who is entering your property. If you do run across these people, please call HOEC at 417-256-2131 and let them know!
