Strong Thunderstorms moved across Southern Missouri and Northern Arkansas Friday night, knocking out power to hundreds. There have several reports of trees down and power out in Oregon, Howell, and Ripley counties in Missouri and in Fulton, Sharp, and Randolph Counties in Arkansas, Flooded roads and high winds made it hard for crews to get to the areas that needed repair. At one time late last night, Howell-Oregon Electric Coop reported 1,300 members were without power and several remained without power early this morning. There were reports of lightning strikes that caused fires around the area. Early Thursday morning the Mountain Grove Fire Department battles several fires caused by lighting and one home was completely destroyed. There are no reports of any injuries so far.
