The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for our listening area today from noon until 7 pm and an excessive heat warning has been issued for Sharp, Randolph, Lawrence, and Independence Counties from 1 pm until 9 pm today.

Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When possible reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
