On July 27th, 2023, officers with the West Plains Strategic Response Team (SRT) and South Central Drug Task Force executed a narcotics search warrant at a residence in the 400 block of Thayer Ave. As a result, officers seized multiple suspected fentanyl capsules, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia from inside the residence. A total of five (5) adult subjects were placed under arrest for Distribution/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Maintaining a Public Nuisance. All suspects were transported to the West Plains Police Department Jail where they are awaiting formal charges. No names have been released at this time.
