The Thayer Fire Department along with Thayer Rural Fire Department will be continuing its long tradition of support for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) as they kick off the annual Fill the Boot fundraising campaign to raise critical funds to help transform the lives of kids and adults with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle-debilitating diseases. Donations will help meet the urgent need for MDA’s Frontline COVID-19 Emergency Fund to continue services for local families living with neuromuscular diseases.
Continuing a 69-year tradition of giving strength to the MDA community, dedicated firefighters from Thayer will hit the streets with boots in hand asking pedestrians, motorists, customers, and other passersby to make a donation to MDA on August 5, 2023, from 8:30 am till Noon at the US 63 and MO 142 Location and Business 63 and US 63, like in the past. Our Goal this year is to collect at least $2800.00 and thank the public for their generous donations this year and those that donated in the past.
