46-year-old Carlos Gracia was arrested after deputies went to his home on Wednesday for a well-being check. The deputies were told that Gracia was in the trailer with two children and witness told authorities that Gracia wanted to be killed by officers. Gracia allegedly came out of the trailer with the children, then ran to the trailer away from the kids. A deputy then shot Gracia with a bag gun but Garcia continued into the trailer. Garcia refused to come out of the trailer and told deputies they would have to kill him because he did not want to go to jail. Deputies were able to get in the trailer after hours of a standoff. Gracia is charged with failing to register as a sex offender, armed criminal action, unlawful possession of a firearm, and resisting arrest. Gracia is being held in the Texas County Jail on a $50,000 cash-only bond.
