According to a press release from the West Plains Police at approximately 6:02 pm, West Plains Fire Department, South Howell County Ambulance, and West Plains Police responded to a medical emergency on Burke Avenue. It was reported that an infant was not breathing. Bystanders and personnel provided medical assistance to the infant but were unable to revive the infant. West Plains Police say an investigation is active and being conducted at this time.
