
Two Ava residents have been arrested after a Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force executed a search warrant in Western Douglas County. 47-year-old Matthew Lane, and 43-year-old Amie Jenkins-Rains were both arrested after authorities seized firearms, several grams of methamphetamine, paraphernalia used to ingest illegal narcotics and paraphernalia used to divide and sell illegal narcotics. Both Matthew Lane and Amie Jenkins-Rains were transported to the Douglas County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold. On August 11th, 2023, the Douglas County Circuit Court issued warrants for both Matthew Lane and Amie Jenkins-Rains. They were both charged with delivery of a controlled substance, Unlawful Use of Weapon Possess Weapon and a Felony Controlled Substance (Class E Felony), and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia-Amphetamine or Methamphetamine (Class E Felony). Lane is also charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (Class D Felony)
Bond for lane was set at $25,000 cash and Bond for Rains was set at $2,500 cash.
