WILLOW SPRINGS, Mo. – The Willow Springs R-IV Board of Education approved the acquisition of the north MoDOT building on Monday, August 14. If the City of Willow Springs approves the contract on their end later this week, the school will begin plans for expansion into the north building. This will allow the district to remove the special education trailers across from the Hicks House and relocate programs such as wood shop, agriculture, FACS, and business classes. “The district is thrilled to partner with the City of Willow Springs to continue to provide opportunities for our kids,” said Superintendent Marty Spence. “The former MoDOT buildings will be a tremendous benefit to the school for years to come.”
