Over the last several weeks, there have been several burglaries in Eastern Douglas County around the Vanzant area. Many of the homes that were burglarized were those that are uninhabited. Deputies have been working around the clock on these cases and were able to establish that Dalton Hall age 30 is responsible for the burglaries.
On August 20, 2023, Sheriff Degase and the Multijurisdictional Task Force responded to a barn near Vanzant where information was obtained that Hall was hiding. Hall fled into the woods just as Deputies were arriving and was able to avoid apprehension. Several stolen items were located and seized that were taken from the local burglaries as well as methamphetamine and methamphetamine paraphernalia.
Sheriff Degase advised that anyone assisting Hall in avoiding apprehension could also face criminal prosecution.
Hall currently has a warrant out of Wright County for theft-related offenses and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking warrants for multiple theft/burglary-related offenses.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating Hall. A REWARD has been offered to anyone who can provide information that results in the apprehension of Hall.
