MELBOURNE, AR (August 25, 2023) – Ozarka College is proud to announce the 2023 class of practical nursing students achieved an overall first-time pass rate of 96.1 percent on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) as required by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing to become a licensed practical nurse (LPN) in the State of Arkansas.
“This is another great example highlighting the quality of the Ozarka nursing program education,” said Dr. Richard Dawe, Ozarka College president. “Since its founding, Ozarka College has been a leader in providing nursing education in Arkansas and it remains a signature program offering for our communities.”
Ozarka’s 2023 pass rate significantly outpaces 2023 state and national averages of 86.0 and 81.4 percent, respectively, for practical nursing first-time candidates. The 2023 LPN class represents nursing cohorts from the Ash Flat, Melbourne, and Mountain View. Congratulations to these graduates and our dedicated nursing faculty!
