The Highway Patrol reports that 75-year-old Lester Lane was killed and 68-year-old Martin Lane suffered moderate injuries when Martin Lane drove off the road, struck an embankment, and overturned the truck he was driving. The accident happened on Missouri Highway 5, about a quarter mile south of Ava. Martin Lane was taken to Cox Medical Center in Springfield.
