The Highway Patrol reports that 21-year-old Sahara Schaffers suffered serious injuries when she failed to yield when crossing Highway 60 and was hit by a vehicle driven by 64-year-old Kenneth Lesesne of Blue Ridge Georgia. Schaffer was taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. The accident happened seven miles east of Van Buren on Highway 60.
