A man from Summersville has been sentenced to 10 years in prison on manslaughter charges.

43-year-old David Keeler was involved in a fatal crash that killed Anna Hambelton of Dora in January 2020.  Keeler was sentenced to 10 years for first-degree manslaughter and he was also sentenced to 7 years for second-degree assault, with that sentenced to run concurrently.  The Semi that Keeler was driving hit the vehicle that Hambelton was in at the intersection of Highway 63 and Gibson Avenue in West Plains. A wrongful death lawsuit has also been filed by Hambelton’s family against Keeler, along with  Ozark Logistic Corporation of Summersville; R&R Express Logistics Inc., Sikeston; and R&R Express Inc., Pittsburgh, Pa. At this time no court date has been set.
