On September 8, 2023, Deputy Michael Pauly, OSN 240, responded to a residence on County Road 3440 in Mountain View, MO for a report of burglary and the theft of a firearm. On September 12, 2023, at approximately 0400 hours, Deputy Robert Malone, OSN 214, and Deputy Talon Millard, OSN 259, responded to the same residence for a report of burglary and vehicle theft.
Upon arrival, Deputies learned that a firearm and keys to a vehicle were stolen from inside the residence while the victim was asleep. The vehicle was subsequently stolen from the driveway.
Deputies were able to access the vehicle’s GPS and later found the vehicle abandoned in the woods on County Road 3400. Two subjects were located in the woods near the vehicle and a foot pursuit ensued, resulting in the detainment of one juvenile female. After speaking with the juvenile, additional suspects were identified.
On September 13, 2023, Deputies traveled to a residence on County Road 3400 and located a suspect. During a search of the location and residence where the suspect had been found, two firearms that were stolen from the residence in two separate incidents were recovered.
A male subject was placed under arrest for Burglary, Stealing a motor vehicle, Stealing a firearm, and additional warrants out of Shannon County. Formal charges relating to the incident are pending. No name has been released at this time.
