The Highway Patrol says that 86-year-old Eula Sumpter and 95-year-old Columbus Sumpter both from Centerville were injured when the car that Columbus Sumpter was driving traveled into the path of a truck driven by 27-year-old Lowell Tune of Houston. Eula Sumpter was flown to Barnes Hospital in St Louis and Columbus Sumpter was taken to Iron County Hospital. The accident happened on Highway 21, two miles north of Centerville.
