A man arrested in July in connection with a shooting in Pocahontas wants to modify his bond

Corey Garrett Jr. filed a motion to modify the bond. He was arrested in July on Archer Street in Pocahontas. Garrett allegedly shot another man multiple times and was charged with possession of a firearm by a certain person, second-degree attempted murder, 3 counts of first-degree battery, and breaking or entering with a habitual offender, and a firearm penalty enhancement added.

He was given a $250,000 cash-only bond. Thursday he filed a motion to make the bond cash or surety.
