
FAYETTEVILLE – The Arkansas men’s basketball program was predicted to finish third in the Southeastern Conference while Trevon Brazile (first team) and Davonte Davis (second team) were named preseason All-SEC by a select panel of both SEC and national media members.
Arkansas, ranked 14th in the preseason AP poll, is coming off its third straight NCAA Sweet 16 appearance.
Missouri was picked to finish 9th and had no players on the All-SEC teams.
Kentucky, Alabama and Arkansas all had two players each on the teams.
JONESBORO, Ark. (10/16/23) – A pair of Arkansas State men’s basketball players earned preseason recognition on Monday, as the Sun Belt Conference unveiled its 2023-24 preseason awards and coaches poll.
Terrance Ford Jr. and newcomer Freddy Hicks garnered spots on the Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference Third Team ahead of the season, while the league’s coaches voted the Red Wolves to finish ninth in the preseason poll.
- LOUIS — Missouri State men’s basketball standouts Donovan Clay(Sr., Alton, Ill.) and Chance Moore(Jr., Brookhaven, Ga.) have been named to the Preseason All-Missouri Valley Conference Team, the league announced Tuesday (Oct. 16) as part of its annual Media Day activities.
Clay landed on the Preseason All-MVC first team, while Moore is on the third team. The 12-member league awarded preseason accolades to 17 players in all, including preseason player of the year Tucker DeVries of Drake.
The Bears were picked to finish 6th in the conference.
