Highway 63, north of Thayer was closed for several hours today after a three-vehicle accident, that killed one person and injured two others. The highway Patrol reports that a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Joshua Parker of Calico Rock was stopped in traffic to make a turn and was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Keith Price of Thayer causing the vehicle that Parker was driving to cross the centerline and be hit by a Tractor Trailer driven by 47-year-old Shaun Hendrix of West Plains. Parker was pronounced dead at the scene, Hendrix suffered serious injuries, and Price suffered moderate injuries. They were both taken to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains. The accident happened on Highway 63, two miles north of Thayer around 7 this morning.
