Ronald Jording III and Luis Acevedo were both arrested after Acevedo allegedly walked onto a road and threatened to shoot Jording, putting a gun to his head. Acevedo allegedly fired the gun seven times. Officers learned after speaking with Jording that he was a registered sex offender from Clinton Arkansas and had not updated his residence in Oregon County. Jording is charged with failure to register as a sex offender with a bond of $25,000 cash or corporate surety. Deputies then talked to Acevedo and learned he was a convicted felon with multiple violent convictions from Florida and was not to be in possession of a firearm. Acevedo has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon, and two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm with a bond of $50,000 cash or corporate surety.
