A local Doctor faces charges after she allegedly left the scene of an accident. Dr. Clara Applegate is accused of leaving an accident Dr. Applegate allegedly left her truck running in a drive, the truck then left the parking lot westward through the grass, over US Highway 63, on the other side of the roadway, and onto the property on Hoglen Drive, where it destroyed part of the fence and damaged an A/C unit. Dr. Applegate reportedly ran after the truck got in, and left the crash scene. She was later stopped by West Plains Police. She is charged with felony leaving the scene of an accident and will be in court on November 20.
