Tuesday was election day in Arkansas for a couple of area school board races. In Mammoth Spring for position two, Thomas Owsley was the winner with 144 votes, Sheila Young received 102 votes. In Highland, there were three positions up for election and the incumbents won all three. Sandy Murphy received 827 votes to defeat Michelle Peterson who got 441 votes, For Position Four, Johnny Carter got 815 votes and Conway Spurlock received 438 votes. In position five, Renee Clay Circle received 678 votes and Bobby Woods received 585 votes.
