46-year-old Kevin Melton allegedly fled when the Arkansas State Police tried to pull him over on Highway 62 near Flippin. A pursuit began reaching speeds up to 100 MPH. Melton was charged with fleeing in a vehicle with a substantial risk of death or serious injury, criminal mischief, possession of drug paraphernalia, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, DWI, and several other traffic violations. He was taken to Marion County Jail and has now been released on $75,000 bond
