Fayetteville–More than a decade after his embarrassing departure from Arkansas, the Razorbacks are reportedly ready to bring Bobby Petrino back into the program.
According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Arkansas is “vetting hiring” Petrino as the school’s new offensive coordinator. Thamel says that Petrino has indicated to recruits that he is being considered for a coordinator job in the SEC.
It’s a reunion that many thought would never be possible, despite Petrino’s clear admission of guilt and expressed regret over the situation that led to his firing.
Arkansas appears to have forgiven the coach for the incident, and they appear to be ready to at least consider him for the offensive coordinator position.
The Razorbacks are looking to bounce back after a difficult 4-8 season that saw them win only one game in the SEC.
