
On Tuesday a Douglas County Grand Jury indicted Howard Applegate and Kelsey Regennitter for the theft of $29,539.44 of telecommunication fiber and equipment and the theft of a flatbed trailer. The items were stolen in Taney County and recovered by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office on October 25, 2023, when a search warrant was served in the Goodhope area after Applegate was arrested for 2 counts of Assault 1st Degree, Burglary, tampering with evidence and stealing $750 or more. Applegate is currently incarcerated in the Douglas County Jail on the previous charges with a $50,000 cash bond only.
Regennitter was also currently incarcerated in the Douglas County Jail on a no-bond warrant for Failure to Obey a Judges Order for Delivery or possession of a controlled substance into a jail, no insurance, and operating the vehicle on the highway without a valid license.
On the new indictment, a warrant was issued for Applegate and Regennitter for Stealing $25,000 or more, Stealing $750 or more, and Stealing $750 or more. The bond was set at $5000 cash only for both subjects.
