West Plains Middle and High Schools were placed on a temporary lockdown on Tuesday because of a police pursuit south of the schools. Law enforcement was pursuing a vehicle on Bratton Avenue. Once the suspect was arrested the lockdown was lifted at the schools. The school said that ensuring the safety and well-being of their students is their top priority and they appreciate the public’s trust and support in maintaining a secure learning environment.”
