On December 29, 2023, a suspect refused to stop for ASP Troopers on the U.S. Highway 62 Bypass in Mountain Home, reaching speeds of approximately 140 mph.
As the driver approached the Flippin Bypass in Marion County, a Trooper performed a tactical vehicle intervention to end the pursuit. The resulting collision caused the Trooper’s unit to overturn.
No one was seriously injured.
Driver Randy Ramirez, 19, was transported to the Marion County Detention Center where he was charged with Aggravated Assault, Fleeing, Reckless Driving, Possession of Controlled Substance and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.
