A man from Nixa was arrested in Douglas County on felony charges last week.

43-year-old Joshua Wood was stopped on Highway 5 for DWI. K-9 York was deployed on the vehicle after Woods allegedly admitted to smoking marijuana and taking Xanax. Deputies found two firearms, one of which was reported stolen from Ozark County. It was later discovered that Wood was a convicted felon which prohibits him from possessing firearms. Upon arriving at the Douglas County Jail, Woods attempted to dispose of a methamphetamine pipe that he had concealed upon his person. Woods was placed on a 24-hour hold and a warrant for his arrest was later obtained for  Possession of controlled Substance-methamphetamine, Stealing of a Firearm and two counts of Unlawful possession of a firearm, Tampering with physical evidence in felony prosecution, and DWI. His Bond was set at $15,000 cash only.
