On Tuesday, 49-year-old Shawna Ross of Ava was sentenced to 28 years in the Department of Corrections for Sexual Trafficking of a Child Under the age of 18.
The charges stemmed from an investigation by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Ava Police
Robert Atherton pled guilty to Statutory Sodomy on a Child under the age of 12 on October 17, 2023. Atherton was sentenced to 30 years in the Department of Corrections.
66-year-old Harold Blair of Ava, is currently in Federal Custody where he recently pled guilty to multiple counts of Possession of Child Pornography and is currently awaiting sentencing.
