Old Soldier’s reunion moved one week back, scheduled for July 15th -20th
- Pam (Pam’s Place): Current schedule is Fridays and Saturdays. Will extend hours on/after second week of March
- Charles – ribbon cutting at New Senior center to be scheduled
- June (Women’s Auxiliary): no updates
- Hannaha (The Dels Corp): Office in Mountain Home; ribbon cutting for Spring River Commons. Studio apartments for $675-$850/month. Some with private balcony, some with private bedrooms. Received many applications and interest. Corp has 20 properties across Arkansas and Missouri including 2 restaurants and an ice cream shop. Will get flyers and info out soon. - National Fish Hatchery Outdoor Survival event
Sponsored by Hatchery’s Friends group– event has reached capacity at 40 participants – kids will learn assorted outdoor survival skills including fire starting, fishing, foraging, outdoor cooking, compass reading ect. Hope for this to be annual event, this year is grant funded and is free for all participants, future years will likely require a reservation fee for cost of equipment. Will not conflict with bluebird day, on same day – 8-3 that day.– 40 kids and 8 stations need volunteers – contact Trena, Sara, or Rick at hatchery

Thayer’s turn to host – they’re overwhelmed with eclipse they are postponing until after eclipse
- New Business
- Ribbon cutting for The Dels Spring River Commons next Friday 16 – open house/ribbon cutting
- Senior Center ribbon cutting will get schedule possibly for next month after chamber meeting
- Eclipse
- Mammoth Spring Chamber is not hosting their own event – state park will be overwhelmed with visitors so no events will take place
- Saturday, April 6, at Thayer High School: Car show, vendor booths, musicians, and firework show that night
- Thayer needs volunteers desperately to help during event and set up leading up to event.
- Day of eclipse: Spring River Campground hosting own event there – that is the only event on the actual eclipse day in taking place in Mammoth.
- Schools and courthouse will be closed day of.
- JP reached out and offered help if needed. Contact Trena to liaison with him for assistance.
- Thayer’s chamber received grant for eclipse promo – nothing they promote can include Arkansas.
- Eclipse chasers who travel around the world and prefer areas with low light pollution for watching event and other astrological happenings. Those are the people we want in town, “enthusiasts” not looking for a wild party. Pretty much every Airbnb is rented out. Most campsites are rented out.
- Remodeled showers and old pool for Thayer campers, adding campsites and RV parking
- Many restaurants offering a limited menu – ordering in bulk
- We have MOARK glasses – initial plan was to sell them to reimburse chamber for paying – Thayer couldn’t sell due to grant restrictions, so they are available at no cost – considered a Chamber donation – we have 1,000 Thayer has 1,500
- Alton has events, West plains has a 4 day event, Salem is doing a 5k in city park during eclipse, Sharp county doing several things, Spring River Chamber and Innovation Hub, Hardy AP Commission. There is something somewhere all week of eclipse.
- Scott and Adam have been trying to get website up but hasn’t happened yet
- Police chief is going to pull 1 extra deputy so there will be 4 total – main thing is to help with traffic flow. We are talking to city officials, police, emergency responders to try and prepare for when people just stop in the middle of the road when eclipse happens.
