Daylight Savings Time on the way

With daylight savings time arriving on March 10, a Missouri House committee heard a bill, on Wednesday, that would stop the clock from changing once and for all.

If passed, it would align Missouri with a group of 19 other states intent on making the “spring forward” section of the year, from March to November, the permanent year-round time. During the hearing, Representative Darin Chappell, a Republican from Rogersville, dismissed the often-quoted idea that daylight savings is beneficial for agriculture

Representatives from both parties seemed interested in ending the hundred-year-old practice,

however, it’s unclear if the bill will proceed or “fall back” in the legislative process
